Prilocaine
The neuronal cell membrane of neurons is affected by prilocaine’s action on sodium channels, which restricts seizure activity and slows seizure propagation. The effects on sodium channels in Purkinje fibres facilitate the antiarrhythmic actions.
Frequently used in dentistry and is utilised as a local anaesthetic.
