Aceclofenac

Diclofenac’s carboxymethyl ester, aceclofenac, is a monocarboxylic acid. It is a diclofenac-related non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication used to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It functions as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication, an EC 1.14.99.1 (prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase) inhibitor, and a non-narcotic analgesic. It contains an amino acid, a secondary amino molecule, a monocarboxylic acid, a carboxylic ester, and a dichlorobenzene. It is a diclofenac derivative.

Aceclofenac is an oral non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID) used to treat osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It has notable anti-inflammatory and analgesic characteristics. In double-blind studies, it is said to have a stronger anti-inflammatory impact than traditional NSAIDs, or at least effects that are comparable to them. The cyclo-oxygenase enzyme (COX), which is necessary for the production of prostaglandins, an inflammatory mediator that contributes to pain, swelling, inflammation, and fever, is strongly inhibited by aceclofenac. Since aceclofenac has low aqueous solubility, it is classified as BCS Class II. It exhibits strong permeability to enter synovial joints, where the loss of articular cartilage in the region produces joint discomfort, soreness, stiffness, crepitus, and local inflammation in individuals with osteoarthritis and related disorders.
